I really liked the idea of the course, its nice to actually have hands on projects where we decide what we want to do. The projects were alot of fun too, but not haveing restrictions on the projects sorta made it hard to decide what we wanted to do lol. As one of the engineers in the class, i think the fact that we didn't have the same background with portfolios and blogs and documentation as the artists, we were at a huge disadvantage. It took a while to realize that the final outcome didn't mean as much to the teachers as it did to us engineers. in this matter, i feel like an engineering professor who taught the class with the art teachers would have been better. that way both the artists and engineers met in the middle so to speak.
All in all i really did enjoy this course. It was the first time it was taught, so obviously things were a little confusing at times. i do feel that this class will be a very good and and even more enjoyable class in the future.
Thank You

Project 3
Initially, Project 3 was going to be an entirely new project and design. However, the teachers thought it would be beneficial to make project three a continuation of project two. This proved to be a wise decision, because or piece was a good idea but needed work. After the critiques of our project, we decided to make some much needed changes and updates. These update and changes included a better constructed piece and an easier drawing pad for those interacting with the piece. Also, we included a hacked digital camera and lighting system inside the piece so that the art work inside could be documented and shared through a blog we created for it. i also wrote a new program for the arduino that is cleaner and more reliable as well as more energy efficient. Since we had more components with the lighting system and camera, i better arranged cod was necessary. Here are pictures of the construction of the revamped project three as well as the final piece.
Project 2
For Project 2 each design group was instructed to create a piece for social change. After much deliberation, my design team decided to create a portable machine that would enable the spread and sharing of art pieces of a certain dimension. the portable aspect of the piece would allow art to be taken outside of a studio and limit the influence of outside powers to act on the art itself.
Here are some pictures showing the construction and final outcome of the piece.
